To be good top Vlad u need to be good at these 3 things. 1- wave management. 2- matchups knowledge. 3- know how to space. The 3 main runes of top Vlad are phase rush, aery, first strike and conq. I've heard of Vlad players using your combo charge E, R, THEN flash because R doesn't release E immediately, but at this point we're splitting hairs. IMO the main benefit of getting the combo as fast as possible is the psychic damage you can deal when your victim looks at death recap and find out they died in .10 seconds lol.

Predator + Sorcery (Transcendence+GS) - imo best runes against all mages. Predator, even after nerfs, is still really good for Vladimir. Imo better version of PR. I like running it with flash+ghost, for faster roams and better teamfights. Remember to take Ghost Poro+Ingenious hunter, they have amazing synergy.I don't really main any other champs in midlane nor do I find any other midlane champs fun.
